B.A.S.S. Tournament - LittleLuey - 02-25-2008 I saw a little bit of that this weekend. Did anyone see it? they had a pro talking about the swimbaits, they were traying them out in a pool and this bait was maybe 6" long and it had a very realistic motion, at one point the guy made it turn 180ยบ to "look back", that is sick! Has anyone use those large swimbaits and what is your opinion? [signature] Re: [LittleLuey] B.A.S.S. Tournament - fsh4fun05 - 02-26-2008 One of my biggest largemouth was caught on a swimbait. They are starting to get popular with the pros after they have caught a nice weigh-in weight but are looking for that fat kicker to finish it off. I like using the smaller swimbaits just because the are a little more easier to cast and less splash but I've been called a sissy fisherman because I prefer lighter baits. Swimbaits may not produce numbers but you can bet on size. Big fish eat other fish. [signature] Re: [LittleLuey] B.A.S.S. Tournament - tubeN2 - 02-27-2008 I have never seen a swimbait that can do a 180 degree turn. That must be something. I do use lots of the bigger swimbaits too. Mostly the 9 to 12" lengths for LMB and Stripers. I do use some of the smaller ones in the ocean since size doesn't matter there. I do like the Castaic Swim baits, Huddlestons and the Matt Lures.[cool] [signature] Re: [tubeN2] B.A.S.S. Tournament - bendopolo - 02-29-2008 Super Stretchy is a swimbait...
