WDYT? - Dryrod - 02-19-2008

[cool][font "Pristina"][green][size 4]What do you think about this scene? [It is one of many fly fishing pictures that rotate periodically on my desk top.] Every time it comes up I wonder what the fisherman is looking at. He is looking straight ahead and his line is pulling towards his right with the direction of the river flow. So WDYT?[/size][/green][/font]

Re: [Dryrod] WDYT? - flygoddess - 02-19-2008

Line looks like it is at the end of the drift so I am going to say he is looking for the next spot to cast or maybe a rising trout.
In my case it would be, "Is my line wrapped around the tip of my rod again?!" Just kidding[laugh][laugh]

Switch, Spey, Float or Fly. You can do the Whip from all of them.[cool]

The longer the rod, the easier it is with the lighter weights.[cool]

Re: [Dryrod] WDYT? - tubeN2 - 02-20-2008

It depends on the size of bug or buggy wuggy that you tie on the line.[laugh]

[font "Pristina"][green][size 4][cool]Yea something like that. I remember fishing on the Snake below Jackson Lake during which time I was day dreaming while watching Ospreys having breakfast. My line was like that in the picture - at the ends of it's drift in a seam when bam - a 12" cutt nailed my fly. I thought that wasn't suppose to happen but who really cares just so long as someone answers when the dinner bell rings. BTW I tried matching the hatch and nada - so I threw on a Royal Wulff which apparently was to their liking.[/size][/green][/font]
