Lake Norman - T-bone1 - 02-06-2008 I have fished lake Norman for a few years now. I have hooked some nice fish there. What I want to do is get better at the stripers. I troll free line with live bait when it do. What I want to do is fish the deeper water without a down rig. Should I troll with heavy wait? Should I sit still and fish the bottom or just off the bottom when I see the signs on my fishfinder. The rig I fix up when trolling is with no wait , a swivel and about 3 foot leader of florcarbon. Never had much luck with shinners. I like to net up my own shad when I can fine some. Any help or tips would be greatful>>>> [signature] Re: [T-bone1] Lake Norman - southernman - 02-07-2008 id try vertical jigging, esp if you ve got the electronics to see where the fish are sitting . . . try lead body jigs in ultra bright colors, real heavy spoons, and perhaps a reel with a line counter - when theyre suspended off the bottom also try a sweetener of some filleted trash fish soaked in shad oil, cut into bites good luck sm [signature] |
