a fishing report or something like that (east canyon) - trowtslayr - 09-25-2007 Well went to East Canyon saturday, got there at 6am still dark so docked turned on the nav's and scooted as fast as my 7.5 would take me to the very back, checking out the shoreline(east) with the fishfinder on the way, we got to the back and set up our trolling gear and got to work, i had one on right away and while roni was trying to get the net back together and give it to me, well the fish said shake shake and goodbye, that would be my only fish of the day, roni landed 3 thanks to my expertise with the net, lol. the water was 59.5 on the finder when we got there, it warmed up to a 62 by noon, we had to troll around this guy [url "http://www.bigfishtackle.com/photos/showphoto.php/photo/8115/cat/500/ppuser/47846"][/url] crazy man right here, nothing like a morning swim in 60 degree water. then we had to duck when this flew by [url "http://www.bigfishtackle.com/photos/showphoto.php/photo/8114/cat/500/ppuser/47846"][/url] (ok not really duck but he was way low) we also were being watched by this fellow [url "http://www.bigfishtackle.com/photos/showphoto.php/photo/8106/cat/500/ppuser/47846"][/url]. we pulled into a little bay to get out of the wind for a bit and to let the dog play and this is what we seen [url "http://www.bigfishtackle.com/photos/showphoto.php/photo/8112/cat/500/ppuser/47846"][/url] a bunch of little planters but they were fun to watch. we did take 4 trout home with us and they sure were covered in sores, i didnt even want to take pics of them cause they were so ugly, size was about the same for all 15 to 16in. made good fillets though. the wind did kick our butt and when it was time to leave we waited a little too long, the water was rough rough and so was getting my boat on its trailer but with the help of one other bystander who couldnt get there boat on their trailer we managed and were on our way. It was a cold day and it just made me get ready for the coming cold weather. I think the storm that came in screwed up the fishing. [signature]
