Public meetings on Great Lakes Water Management Agreement - FishNews - 09-22-2007
The public is invited to meet with Indiana DNR staff and representatives of conservation groups and business groups that are supporting the Compact agreement that the governors of the Great Lakes states signed in 2005.
The Compacts purpose is to ban major diversions of fresh water from the Great Lakes.
In 2008, Indiana will consider legislation proposed by the DNR to ratify the Compact.
