DNR to Hold Meeting on Possible Fishing Regulations Changes - FishNews - 09-10-2007 he Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold a open house meeting to hear comments and solicit angler input into decisions to extend, modify, or rescind experimental fishing regulations currently active on three lakes in Douglas County. Those lakes and the regulation follow: Lakes: Andrew, Burgen, Rachel Regulation: 24.0-inch maximum length limit Species: Northern Pike The open house will be held on Monday, September 24 at the Harry Bemo-Vikings Sportsmen Club building located near the northeast corner of the Douglas County Fairground. The fairground is just west of Alexandria, south of County Hwy 82. Those wishing to participate can stop by at your convenience between the hours of 6:00 - 8:00 pm to voice comments directly to DNR, Fisheries staff. The public may also provide input during a statewide open house at the DNR Central Office, located at 500 Lafayette Road in St. Paul on September 27, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For those unable to attend a public input meeting, written comments may be sent to: Dean Beck, Glenwood Area Office, 23070 N Lakeshore Drive, Glenwood, MN 56334 or dean.beck@dnr.state.mn.us. All comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2007. |
