BaySport on the Bay lll - BaySport - 07-15-2007 Returned to Southern Nevada following a month long vacation in Northern California. Used up two non-resident 10 day fishing licenses while enjoying some fantastic cool San Francisco Bay weather! Here are a few pictures: [inline 100_0342.jpg] The ride- 22' Cortez, built by Davis Boats. [inline 100_0316.jpg] Keith and BLM (Utah) ready tackle to troll the Berkley Flats. [inline 100_0321.jpg] Wind and waves everyday. The sailboats loved it! [inline 100_0330.jpg] Outside the gate another halibut makes it into the boat. This nice fish was caught at Bonita Cove. [inline 100_0332.jpg] A nice, although small, lingcod is tossed back. [inline 100_0340.jpg] Returning to Berkley Marina, what a view! [inline 100_0320.jpg] Trolling is hard work! [inline 100_0313.jpg] Saltwater stripers! What a great trip. Can't wait to do it again! The cover is coming off the boat on monday because it's back to Lake Mead. [cool] [signature] Re: [Flycasting] BaySport on the Bay lll - BaySport - 07-15-2007 Thanks, it was a great trip! I'm very fortuntate to have an open invitation on that boat so I try not to take it for granted. The boat went out about 15 times while I was there. It always returned with at least two halibut, one day seven, a couple times three. Twelve 6-10lb. stripers during the first week. Also all the shakers and sandsharks that kept us busy. Had a couple of big fish frys, gave a lot away, and brought some home. We would of fished more, however, the weather did not always cooperate. We did pretty good considering all the wind that made for tough fishing. As always, fishing with Captain Keith and the "Fishaholic" is great fun![/size][/black][/font] [signature] Re: [BearLakeMack] BaySport on the Bay lll - Mick_Jigger - 07-17-2007 Rich...looks like it was great weather (except for the W) and the fishing was good as well. Had to rest your back for a minute I see. We head out Wednesday AM with Jim....2-Days of Mackinaw Boot Camp Training...I think I will be resting my back after several hours on the Gorge...presentation and focus...focus....focus !!! Ought to be a blast. Welcome back to the valley...if you made it back. Fishing was fairly good but it's a lot better when the wind will stay down. We didn't head out for Salmon as we first planned. 9 foot swells with 6 foot wind waves on top was a little more than we wanted to deal with so we stuck to inside the bay looking for protected areas to get out of the constant wind.[/size][/black][/font] [font "Comic Sans MS"][black][size 3][/size][/black][/font] [font "Comic Sans MS"][black][size 3]You'll have fun with Captain Jim. Hope you have a great trip. I'm sure I'll see you on Captain Jim's website hold some pig of a lake trout.[/size][/black][/font] [signature] |
