Mexico - HFT - 05-28-2007
Returned from fishing Mexico out of San feliepe last night. Awsome trip again fewer fish than last year but more than enough to wear the arms out. my biggest on this trip was a 17 lb Cabria and had a grouper break 60lb line.
Looks like some good hatches going on around here!!!

Sounds like a good trip. You must have had some industrial sized Boogers for he Cabria. They love bigger baits.

I wish I had 5" Boogers, I was casting 2 oz heads with 5" fish traps. I did catch one on a prism shad that the guide just shook his head as though I was nuts for useing it.

Lots of Cabria. several yellow tail. A few Grouper. Didn't see the giant squid like last year. water was colder than last year. saw a lot of turtles. had a 10' blue Shark swimming 20' from the ponga.
