Fishing CJ & Little Camas ??? - fishfur2007 - 05-19-2007
Well good day to you all.
I am about to set off for CJ Strike tomorrow morning ( first time) and see if I can catch any of those Cottonwood Crappie, Bass, Bluegill, Etc. from the shore (boy do I wish I had a boat!) and then if the action falters perhaps swing up to Little Camas Res.
I sure could use some up to date reports on both places.
The last time we went to Little Camas we got skunked on the back side where the dam is as well as the far arm of the res. as well. Really frustrating because we saw several people at a Game and Fish check point that had limited out on some mighty good looking trout.

john. not sure if this will help but, i took the ole wife on a road trip and we stoped by anderson ranch. It just so happened that i had a fishing pole in the back of my truck! ha go figure.. hehehe[
] anywho i went down the long dirt road that leads over the dam but we turn off right before the dam and there is a little cove there along with some fire pits, I tossed in my line with a bobber and a piece of worm and not 5 mins later my wife was asking where the bobber was. I looked and it was gone yanked up and pulled out a 14" rainbow. i was there for 3 hours. caught 3 rainbows 14 to 16" and 2 kokes about 13-14". its really rocky and not very good if you got kids with ya. but a perfect lil spot to kick back with a cooler. sorry the info wasnt on camas or c.j. but ya might want to try it out.

Thanks for the update. Will have to plan to get out there some time this week! I got a cooler jujst itchin for me to spend some quality time with it! Beer and fishin' pretty close to a vacation if you ask me!

yea i didnt know vacation was anything else?! hahaha but yea id check it out it was a little cooler the last time i was up there but my god if you had a fly rod youd just kill um. there were fish jumpin just out of my reach with a bobber. You couldnt have asked for better scenery, eagle flyin fish jumpin not many boats, and the perfect chair shaped rock with a nice flat one right next to it to set the cooler on..
is there any other heaven?
