Palisades,Treas,Chesty,Walcott-Report - fishingrocket - 04-08-2007 Report 4/5/07 - 4/7/07, Treasureton,Chesterfield,Walcott,Palies, I spent lots on gas so thought the results would be of interest. I targeted trout on all but also went after Smallies at Walcott. I was skunked everywhere but Palies. I was using my normal techniques that work when the fishing is hot. Two of us limited out at Palies trolling. The ice is about 20% gone with boats launching at Indian Creek and Calamity. It should be ice free by next weekend. We got a mixed bag of browns and cuts in the 15 to 19" range. The first two on the list had very murky water but Walcott was crystal clear and hardly any fish on the finder. The trout must have gone upstream to spawn and feed. I suppose it is still early for bass. The water is murky though I almost think that it's only the top few feet that are.
