Fished American Falls from 5pm till dark on 3/30/07. Trolled everything I had in the box and nothing. Water was 40 degrees and off color. Concentrated on the Dam area. Talk to a bank fisherman and he said he had only caught one 12 incher all day.

I am not surprised. I had an identical experience shortly after ice out but water was clear and 37 F. It sounds like it went through "turnover" because I don't think runoff could have junked it up that quickly. I would expect good trolling to be present in May and June. There should be some big ones in there this year especially after the spawners return.
