pontoon patch - fsh4fun05 - 03-01-2007 I recently tore my toon cover on accident, oops! It is a bucks bag and I don't have a repair patch for the cover. What type of material is it? I imagine I could go to Cabelas and find a patch, right? I'm headed to Lake Fork next week so I need to fix it right. I have never torn the outer cover of mine (or the tube Knock on wood) so I am not sure what they recommend, but I have seen patch kits.[/size][/black] [signature] Re: [fsh4fun05] pontoon patch - TubeDude - 03-01-2007 [cool][#0000ff]The covers are usually high denier nylon. Check for tent patch kits at Sportsmans. You will probably have to deflate the air chamber and put the patch on the inside, with some cosmetic stuff on the outside.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Depends on where the tear is and how big it is as to exactly how you fix it and how pretty it will be. Different if it is a seam or just in the main cover.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Wanna bring it over for a looksee?[/#0000ff] [signature] |
