Boat launching tip - Fishhound - 02-02-2007 [size 1]When the temperature is below freezing, boat ramps can be very hazardous. After you’ve launched or loaded your boat on the trailer, only pull forward enough to get your trailer clear of the water’s surface and let the water drip for a minute. Fewer people will be on the lake in the winter, and those anglers will appreciate the efforts to keep as much ice off the ramp as possible.
