Sweet Ride - Bassmaster-ND - 10-16-2006 I was just surfing the web and came across this beast. [li]ROD HOLDERS -- holds 4 rods of any type [li]SEAT -- easy access with all-day contoured comfort [li]FISH CREEL -- that also holds your net [li]STRIPPING APRON -- bungee mounts [li]FRONT WHEEL -- helps guide you from car to water [li]LIVE BAIT WELL -- with 1 gallon capacity [li]FOOT REST FINS -- provide that laid-back feeling [li]DOWN RIGGER / ANCHOR MOUNT -- great for trolling [/li] [li] [/li] How cool would that be to own one of these or to atleast give it a test run![cool] But if you click on the link (see red text at the bottom) it doesnt look like you'll be seeing one anytime soon http://www.allkayakfishing.com/float_tubing/powerfloat.html So that means, TubeDude: START BUILDING!![ ][signature] Re: [Bassmaster-ND] Sweet Ride - TubeDude - 10-16-2006 [cool][#0000ff]The first commercially made "tube" I bought was a molded plastic "donut", back in the 70's. It had a lot less floatation this this one appears to have and I didn't have much "freeboard" when on the water. The center seam on it cracked and it sank with TubeN2 in it. Fortunately we were in shallow water.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]All I can say is that if someone wants all that, and a rigid hull too...GET A BOAT.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff][/#0000ff] [#0000ff]Thanks for posting it though. Veddy intermesting.[/#0000ff] [signature] Re: [TubeDude] Sweet Ride - Bassmaster-ND - 10-17-2006 Yeah its pretty much a boat. But I'd still trade in my tube for it [ ]. I like how it has a built in trolling motor.[signature] Re: [Bassmaster-ND] Sweet Ride - flygoddess - 10-17-2006 [black]Those things have been around forever. Don't hear about too many people buying them however.[/black] [black]Advantage, you could drag it to the water like a regular boat.[/black] [black]Di vantage, cannot transport very easily, and what does it weight. I don't trust the factory roof mounts on cars and SUV's (ask Poky-mon about his Durango).[/black] [black]Next, what do they want for these things? Keep in mind you Tubers, there is a thing called a Float Power[/black] [black]I know, I have one. Just put a deep cycle battery in the middle in a included battery box, then stick a Minn Kota in. Straps to any kind of float tube and deflates for transporting.[/black] [black] [/black] [signature] |
