Saturday at Lost Creek Reservoir - AFDan52 - 02-16-2003
I went to Lost Creek Reservoir this afternoon all alone. Seems like everyone had something to do today around here so I went alone.I arrived about 2:30pm and stayed until 5:30pm. I fished close to the dam, thats where most of the people had gathered. The weather was perfect and the fishing was pretty good as well. I caught 6 small rainbows during my stay.
The first thing I tried was a green Rat Finkee with 3 waxworms, I got a lot of light hits but wasn't quick enough on the draw. I was finally able to land a few of the elusive little buggers. Then things seemed like all went cold, so I changed my bait to a green Rat Finkee with just a small ball of Chartruse Sparkle Powerbait about the size of a pencil eraser. Bingo we were back in business and caught 4 more planters. Looks like Waxworms and Powerbait were the trick of the day.
