Plastic, self-righting spoons like the MossBoss to use in heavy weeds or on top of slop or pads, much like a surface bait; 2. Weedless spoons, like the Johnson Silver Minnow, which can be worked in a variety of ways - dragged slowly across the bottom, jigged, medium retrieve with a tight rocking motion, burning it in across the top, dress it with a plastic or pork trailer to slow down its descent in the water column and to widen its rocking motion; 3. Jigging spoons, for fishing deep water breaks or vertical jigging deep haunts - used a lot in large impoundments during the Winter months when the bass are more lethargic. [signature] |
