Porcupine - Fish-Dog - 02-10-2003
I spent Saturday morning on porcupine the ice is fine, 6", the fishing was fishing not catching. I counted 75 people on the west end of porcupine. People were parking half way down the hill. Somebody said that Doug Miller featured porucpine on his show, I didn't see it, but it must be true because of the number of people. Iv'e been there 4 times this year and 30 was probably the most people I've seen.
As for fishing it wasn't too good for me or any of the people I talked with. There were 15 people in the area I fish and only 4 fish were caught by the time I left at 12:30. I didn't see any schools come through, only ones and twos. I caught one 14" Koke. I talked with about 10 or 12 people as I left no one had caught a fish. If any of the groups on thed west end were catching fish they were being quiet about it.
