Gator of a pike - anyone know the details? - DonInDenver - 07-20-2006
A friend emailed me this pike picture this week. I know nothing about the background of this picture except that I was told the fish was 54" long and weighed 44 pounds and was caught in the Rainy Lake chain, which I believe is in Minnesota, along the Canadian border.
It really is a GATOR!
Any of you Minnesota folks know any more about this fish?? Thanks!

I really don't know, but I have read in other forums that the fish was actually caught in northern Europe. I live a hour from rainy and I never heard about this fish until I saw it online. Either way that is one hog of a fish.
