Offshore, Rhode Island - mikepeter451 - 07-15-2006 Water Temperature: 68-71.7 Water Clarity: Crystal Clear Seas: 1 foot tops Weather: . Fishing_for: Tuna Boat: Reel Steal captain: Capt Jim Davis Report: Headed due South toward fishtails on both Friday 8/25 and Saturday 8/26. Both days weather was great and seas cooperated. Actually, Saturday was a little too calm. Friday only 1 knockdown about 15 miles North of the Tails. Not much life seen this day. Saturday, went to within 4 miles of the tails and as sson as we hit 71 degree water, all four rigs got hit. Boated 2 albacore and lost the other. This was a 3 person charter so we were a little short handed. The day was quite productive as far as tuna, and we saw many sharks, sunfish, a couple of turtles and watched a giant leap out on the way back in to Watch Hill, about 25 miles offshore of Montauk. Put 180 miles on the boat, but it was well worth the trip.
