Going to give it a try later on today - Tarpon4me - 05-19-2006
Anyone having any luck else where in the state? I know i'm going to give it a try later on, even though the water is high. I'm heading to the Big Pee Dee around 2 or 3 o'clock. I know last time I went, all I caught was a "swim."
My son was driving the boat and my father in law was riding in the back. He pulled up to the dock to let me off so I could back down the trailer,(after not getting a bite all day) and as I stepped, the boat decided to go the other way. KABLOOSH! My father in law said all he saw for a few seconds was my sandle pop up from the depths; I was completely submerged under water. Wallet, cell phone; all soaked.
Believe it or not, I let my cell phone dry out, put the battery back on it, and it fired up two days later, after taking a bath. I'm impressed. [cool]

I never did go to the water. The wind was so bad, I figured i'd be fighting to stay anchored more than i'd have been fishing. Oh well, maybe next time.
