Chesterfield - killperch - 04-22-2006
Went to chesterfield 4/21/06. Only 25% open water(most on west side and by the dam). No water is going over the spillway. Did not fish, just checked it out.

could see about 1-2 feet down. I was where creek dumps in up from the boat dock so maybe by the dam somewhat better. I thought it would be alot worse but I think with the ice on, you do not have the wind stiring the whole lake up.

Chesterfield is a small reservoir with planter trout.

I do not know the exact acrage of Chesterfield but I would describe it as more of a medium size Res. Yes the trout are stocked, but they grow extremely fast and are fat like footballs. If you can't tell I am a huge fan of Chesterfield. The fish are now in the 15-18" range by next year they will be over the 20" mark. The res is just full of food for the trout so it hasn't taken long for it to bounce back.
