Bear Lake 4-8-06 - sliverslinger - 04-09-2006
We fished Bear Lake Saturday. What a beautiful day on the Big Blue. Fishing was extremely slow for us. Out of 6 people we had 7 bites and only two fish boated. We were vertically jigging on the East side in 25-80 ft of water. The two we did boat were just average size cutts. Still great to be out. First time fishing in almost 2 months. I was due. Jake

Thanks for the report Sliverslinger, I was thinking about going to Bear lake on Saturday, now I wish I had. Two cutts are always better than one carp. Did you try the Rock pile or any trolling? WH2

We only fished the East side on Sat. We did have some guys come over in a Lund boat that had spent the morning on the pile and off GR point with no success. Said that they only marked a few fish and they were all locked jawed-no bites. Was a beautiful day though. We did not troll at all either. I think that would probably be the way to go where the fish are all spread out. Jake
