[cool][font "Poor Richard"][green][size 4]Do you use a wading staff? You bet I do. It has save my butt from many dunkins. I use GearKeeper which has a 3' retractable wire that I clip on to the back of my vest. I just let it hang behind me. It doesn't hinder my movement and is right there in case of an emergency. I have a one piece staff for I really don't trust the collapsable units. It also serves as an aid when walking down steep banks. I would hate to have to go fishing for my gear should I take a header.[/size][/green][/font]

I call it my LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEM. When it comes to crossing a river I am a spaz. I bought the collapsable with leash and holster at Wally World for $25. and worth every penny, however I have seen them for $100. and up and I have a hard time understanding how they are better than the $25. ones. I mean function wise.

[cool][font "Poor Richard"][green][size 4]That is about what I paid for mine at Sports Chalet. Couldn't see paying $100 or more for one with a big name on it. Certain items I won't skimp on while on the other hand I don't need a label to impress the fisheys. It has really come in handy while doing wildlife photography. Helps to stabilize my camera when I am using a big lens. Say cheese.[/size][/green][/font]
