Shark Fishing? - Booyaa1 - 01-16-2003 Are there any trips that target Blues or Makos in California? What type of gear? I remember the Angler and I where fishing China Cove over in Catalina last year and the Yellows erupted on the surface and a big O Mako comes strollin' by. We tore up our tackle looking for wire leaders NADA. Kept killin' Yellows. What should we have thrown at him 140 to 160 pounds.
