BETTER CHEESE SAUCE: - tubeN2 - 02-01-2006
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. Bisquick baking mix
1/4 tsp. each salt & pepper
2 c. milk
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese (about 4 oz.) or 1/2 c. crumbled blue cheese
Melt butter over low heat. Blend in baking mix, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in cheese until melted.
