Clarkston Mountain - Hoobie - 01-09-2006
Hey, can anyone tell me of a public access road to the caribou national forest lands on clarkston mountain (up near the Utah Idaho border)? I wanted to do some exploring up there but I tried one road and it was gated and said it was private[

The road to steel's canyon is gated but is open for travel...
The gate has been up for years but I have gone through it several times...

Like Jethro said, a lot of the gates up there say private, unless the gates are locked you can still access threw them to get to the national forest. I think the land owners want people to think you can't go threw their land, just my opinion though. WH2
