Magic Res. ice report - superslammer - 01-09-2006
I went with 6 other guys to Magic Res on Saturday the 7th. We were on the ice at 7:30 am. The edges were as thick and strong as possible. People had snowmachines and ATV's on the lake. The ice was 12 inches out in the middle. We got off the lake about 3 pm and the edges were still good with some standing water right on the edge, but no chance of falling through. The fishing was slow. Watching all the other groups on the ice and I think they didn't have much luck either.

Thanks for information. We had dreams of going there this winter, but with the latest large perch on Mud Lake, we will probably stay there for awhile. Perch up to 12 inches are very hard to pass up thru the ice. Again - thanks for the report!!!

Thanks for the ice report. Unless the fishing picks up at magic I think I will stick with the local water.
