Strawberry parking - KOKANEE - 12-21-2005
Hello every one, I just got back from the Cayman Islands spent a week for the big 20 year anniversary down there catching a few sun rays. I was reading some past post trying to get caught up on whats happening, and Im a little
about the parking lot and the Berry Marina. Are they going to plow the parking lot and the roads this year or not? Will I get stuck trying to park at the marina? Any info is appreciated. thanks.[signature]

Heard somewhere that the roads were going to be plowed by the forest service and volunteers so that parking would be free. also heard that they were making 3 angler access areas and 2 more for snowmobilers. Don't know if any of this is true I can't even remember where I heard it from.

As of last saturday the parking lot at the marina was not plowed except for right in front of the store, condo's, and gas pumps. The guy who runs the store/condo's/snowmobiling business really wants to save those available spots for his paying customers during the weekends (fri,sat,sun). The main lot at the marina was NOT plowed but was accessable with 4 wheel drive through 10-12 inches of snow. The contract for plowing is being renegotiated and something should be finalized by Dec 26th. If you haven't already read back a few days (prob fri or sat) to Strawberry plowing thread. I don't think much has changed since then.
