Tackle Help - ReelMN - 09-14-2005 i am flying to washington this next month and i would appreciate suggestions on rods, reel, and any other tackle i could use for salmon fishing. i need to know what size and weight of rod and line to use. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You.[ ][signature] Re: [ReelMN] Tackle Help - davetclown - 09-29-2005 I saw you posted this same question on another board. I was wondering if you were able to make the trip and if so how did you do with the salmon. I like to use a good stout 30 pound class trolling rod and matching casting reel with 30 pound test line. I saw up in northern michigan they are using 10 foot rods that bend in the wind and using only 14 pound test line. they managed to pull up a bunch of them while I was standing there.... [signature] |
