Stabilizer bars - Riversedge - 07-25-2005 Do you really need them? I just bought a TU Bighorn to replace my Creek Co U-2000, and when I tried it out on Friday, used it both with and without the bar. Didn't seem to make much difference. Any opinions? Re: [Riversedge] Stabilizer bars - TubeDude - 07-25-2005 [cool][#0000ff]Not sure about the Bighorn, but I had a TU Kennebec and it was definitely needed. If it is the connection for your stripping apron, it is easier to rationalize having it. Otherwise, if you don't think it makes a difference, that is one less connection to worry about when you are launching and beaching.[/#0000ff] [signature] Re: [Riversedge] Stabilizer bars - tubeN2 - 07-28-2005 If you have the rigid seat model, then the bar only serves as a support for the stripping apron. It wouldn't make much difference anyway unless you were a flyfisherman.[cool] [signature] |
