Title Icon - Tarpon4me - 04-29-2005 This is a question for the moderators. I was just curious what determined what species of fish our title icon was. I just noticed that it changed again. I'm guessing it's the number of posts we have, am I close? [signature] Re: [Tarpon4me] Title Icon - tubeN2 - 04-29-2005 You are exactly right. As you acrue posts, your icon will change. Here is a breakdown of what little fishy will be under your name based on the amount of posts that you have. [size 1]0 => new member 5 => Bait (worm) 25 => Shiner 50 => Brookie 100 => WeakFish 200 => Perch 300 => Rainbow Trout 400 => Calico Bass 500 => Walleye 750 => Barracuda 1000 => Large Mouth Bass 1250 => White Sea Bass 1500 => Alaskan Salmon 1750 => Striper Bass 2000 => Chain Pickeral 2500 => Yellowtail 3000 => Northern Pike 3500 => Dorado 4000 => Sturgeon 4500 => Tuna 5000 => Channel Catfish 5500 => Swordfish 6000 => Aligator Gar 7000 => Marlin 8000 => Sturgeon 10000 => Shark 10000 + => Is still in the works and we're talking about having great prizes for users (and moderators) who reach this. [/size] [signature] Re: [tubeN2] Title Icon - Tarpon4me - 04-30-2005 10000 post is alot of posts. I had thought I posted alot until I looked it up and only had 101. That's still more that most I believe, but still. 10,000??? 1,000 would be an achievment. [laugh] [signature] Re: [tubeN2] Title Icon - Libertized - 05-03-2005 Just curious, why is "Sturgeon" on the list twice, once at 4000 and again at 8000? Also, why does the Channel Catfish rank right up there with the Tuna, Swordfish, Sturgeon, and Marlin? Re: [Libertized] Title Icon - Tarpon4me - 05-04-2005 If that was a flathead catfish, I could understand why it ranked so high. Anyone who's hooked one over 20 pounds would agree. [signature] Re: [Libertized] Title Icon - tubeN2 - 05-05-2005 There must have been a typo when they made the chart. To date, there is not logical explanation for it coming up twice. My theory is that the sturgeon was caught and released and was caught againg at the 8000 post mark.[cool] [signature] Re: [tubeN2] Title Icon - Tarpon4me - 05-05-2005 [cool] Catch and release rules [signature] Re: [Tarpon4me] Title Icon - tubeN2 - 05-05-2005 I fully agree. That's one of the only ways to be able to catch a bigger fish in the future.[cool] |
