Giant Cutthroat Trout... - caughtmydink - 04-26-2005

Hi Idaho,
I'm a regular on the Utah board and faithful BFT'r.
I' was doing some work in Couer'd Alene a Few years back and hooked up and fished with a few really cool guys and really good fisherman.
They told me about and showed me some pictures of some HUGE Lahotan cutts that were caught ( and released ) from some lakes (there were a few) somewhere around the Idaho/Nevada/Oregon border.
It never sounded like a trip that was worth the effort until I took a guided trip last spring on Walker Lake in Nevada and I found the fish a fun and Interesting species to catch.
I would like to make a trip out there and try to find the lakes.

Anyone know where I might look...

thanks,

Dink.

Several years ago, I put my time in over in that area. Had several good years fishing in Mann Lake (Oregon) from my float tube. Chickahonomy Reservoir (Oregon) was also a good bet for some nice fish. I am not sure if these waters have any relationship to the waters you are talking about, however, they are in that area generally and are very fruitful waters. Just a place to start narrowing which water you are talking about.
