Nope, never been to Walker/Leech Lake. That's on my list of places to visit in the next couple of years. I really need to get myself out of the cities for a change but also need to balance that with other things.
When is the Eelpout Festival? I was watching it on Ken Herbeck Outdoors last week. Looks like a blast! Economists say that one event brings in about $1.5 million dollars for that area.

Hello, this is Curt (Minnesota). I'm writing to you in regard with your message asking from what part of Minnesota I'm from. To tell you the truth I'm not from Minnesota. I just love fishing there. I would love to live there but I can't. I go up to Leech Lake at least once a year. Don't do much ice fishing. I go in the spring, and charish every second of it.
