ST. PAUL, MN—After receiving strong support during a public comment period that ended December 27, 2004, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announced plans to implement size and bag limit regulation changes for walleyes on Leech Lake.
The experimental regulations designed to protect walleye broodstock, which DNR biologists and anglers have expressed concern about due to weak year classes since 1997.
