Does anybody have any reports on ice thickness for the lakes in your area? If so, please post them. Thanks!

Here in my area, I checked two lakes on Friday. Both lakes had about 3 inches of ice about 10 yards out. I didn't venture out any farther. These lakes were Moore Lake in Fridley and Long Lake in New Brighton. Nice, clear ice. I could see the weeds through it nicely.

[cool] Around here in central Minn , ice varies from 4 inches on up to 10 , Minneman said that in western Minn , the lake he checked had 7 , and it was a larger lake !!!!

Great news! By the end of the week when I'm able to get out we should have around 5 or 6 inches in the metro area. Some locations already have 6 inches with just 2 inches 100 feet away. Gotta be careful on those lakes!

I heard 7-10 around Detroit Lakes MN, w/people already drive cars on little detroit on Sat.
