Headed for Japan - BearLakeMack - 11-12-2004 [font "Comic Sans MS"][black][size 3]Business calls and I'm headed for Japan for a few weeks. I'm going to a little island, Tanegashima, off the southern tip of Japan and will be working at the Japanese Space Launch Facility. This is my first trip to the Orient and I'm pretty excited to see another part of the world when not working. I'll also get a chance to spend a day or two in Tokyo. I just returned from western China yesterday. It is a completely different world. Lots of new stuff to learn and to see. The hardest part for me is to adjust to the time difference. Some interesting food too. Most of it is very good. Enjoy the trip and fly safe. It was a very relaxing place for me. The people are very hospitable too. They will really appreciate it if you learn a few words and some of their customs. Excellant food too, especially if you like seafood. The japanese people will take good care of you, enjoy your visit and have fun!
