Hello all,
I was in Corpus visiting the family, and got a chance to go throw some gold spoons for a couple hours around the Boathole/Humble channel area. Caught 3 reds(only one a keeper) about 10 trout, and got into a big school of skipjacks!!!!!!!!! Tons of fun. Was going to haul an empty boat trailer I had stored there, so I could buy a new all weld aluminum boat here in DFW when I returned.For the heck of it I went to the boat dealer there, and got a nice flat bottom carolina skiff( brand new but 2001 model) for 300 dollars less than a smaller aluminum boat. So neeedless to say my next couple of weekends are going to be spent rigging her out.
