1 cup barley flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup molasses
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons shortening
Mix dry ingredients together. Add molasses, milk and shortening. Put in greased pan. Bake in moderate oven for about 50 minutes. [/font]
