Fishing report - Jan - 08-15-2002
It's been a while since I posted in here, the fishing here in the Eureka area hasn't been all that bad.<br>Ive been concentrating on the Halibut this year and haven't done bad at all, mostly 6-10# fish, but enough there to be worthwhile. <br>Best effort to date was last Monday where I caught a 15# and a 28# really nice fish, some are caught on the plastics, and some on bait most are caught on 12# line and trap rigs.<br><br>The Salmon season has been somewhat lackluster for me, although I've not tried that hard for them as I prefer the 'butts.<br>The season here closes 9/15 so I'll probably attempt to take one for the BBQ before the end of the season arrives, I'd like to do a slamon on a Fishtrap this year just to show the locals it can be done.
