Finally made it out to Lake Mead on 9/1/04. Headed out at about 06:30 to Gov. Wash, first time in oh I'd say 15 years or so. At the first "Y" in the road NPS (I guess) were doing some work on a pipe line they had the left road occupied with heavy equipment so I took the road to the right. I was surprised to find the road goes all the way to the water. Hit the shore line and though a few lures without any luck. So I broke out the float tube. The wind was very calm and didn't have any problem getting around. My finder marked several fish but I guess I didn't have what they wanted to eat. Do to limited real estate on the tube I didn't have all of my tackle. I was off the water and back to the truck by 09:30. Like Baysport mentioned in his post, I didn't see any boils either. Also, didn't see any schools of shad.
