Barstad, Rutten win Walleye Widow event - Bassmaster-ND - 08-16-2004
Brenda Barstad and Tammy Rutten won the Lake Region Anglers Association's annual Walleye Widow fishing tournament Aug. 8 on Devils Lake. Graham's Island State Park served as tournament headquarters.
A total of 23 boats and 64 participants fished the tournament. Rounding out the top five:
• Second: Roger and Jill Blasky.
• Third: Robin and Al Freidig.
• Fourth: Kim Trana and Jana Darling.
• Fifth: Lisa and Scott Oskendahl.
The team of Bart and Van Rueden - first names were not available - weighed in the largest walleye, at 6.22 pounds. Ash and Reiner caught the largest white bass, at 3.13 pounds, while big pike honors when to Kevin and Lori Frith, with a 10.13-pound fish.
