LEARNING THE BASICS
Free introductory fishing clinic set
Youngsters and adults will have the opportunity to learn how to fish at a free introductory fishing clinic that the Nevada Department of Wildlife will conduct Aug. 14 at Floyd Lamb State Park.
The clinic will cover such basics as fish identification, baits and lures, casting techniques and knots. Participants will also have the opportunity to put their skills to practice by fishing at the park's pond.
The event is open to all ages and fishing equipment will be available. To register, call NDOW weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 486-5127, ext. 3504.
