Huntington Harbor / Naval Weapons Station area - releaseit - 07-27-2004 [black]Caught the low tide out to where I wanted to start fishing about 10:00am. By 11:00am I already had 3 small bass. By 2pm I had caught 10 bass, all legal, ranging from 12" to 16" ( All released ).[/black] As 3pm rolled around with the winds as I was heading in I caught a 28" smoothhead shark ( Also released ) I was surprised he was out so early. Everything was caught on strips of frozen squid in the sea grass areas near PCH bridge. Anyway any day float tubing is better than working [signature] Re: [releaseit] Huntington Harbor / Naval Weapons Station area - tubeN2 - 07-28-2004 It sounds like you had a fun trip. Those sandbass are all over the place right now. I can imagine that they would be fun in a tube. Have you every been tubing at Cabrillo Beach near 22nd st landing?? I was wondering if there was another way to get live bait without having to dodge boats at the receiver. [signature] |
