RV Fridge Question? - HeGotAway - 07-24-2004 Have an RV that the fridge will run off of propane and the battery for travel but won't run off the plug when parked. The plug its plugged into is good. Anybody have any idea why this might be??? lights and all other electricals work when plugged in but not the fridge. There is a switch for the AC that seems to have a lock out on the back so you can't get electricity and propane at the same time (or kaboom), I think that is where my problem is, that switch is bad or out of adjustment or something. My problem is that my camper is too old for anyone to have parts for, so I just use propane or a cooler. You may look for a lockout switch, or check to make sure that its not a combination of switches or valves. I also read on the Norcold website that on all of their units with DC, the DC does have to be hooked up for AC or propane to work. Hope this helps! Steve [signature] |
