SMITH & MOORHOUSE REPORT - ROYTROUT - 06-29-2004 SPENT THE WEEKEND AND YESTERDAY CAMPING AT SMITH & MOORHOUSE. IT RAINED ALOT WHILE WE WERE THERE. I WAS ABLE TO GET OUT AND FISH A FEW TIMES. WHAT A DIFFERENCE A FEW WEEKS MAKES.. THE FISHING HAS SLOWED DOWN A BIT BUT WE STIL PULLED OUT A COUPLE OF NICE ONES. I HAD THE BEST LUCK IN MY TUBE WITH MY FLY ROD. I CAUGHT MORE IN THE 2 HRS I WAS USING THE FLYRODE THAN I DID THE REST OF THE WEEKEND IN THE BOAT TROLLING. I just hope the weather holds out long enough to bring in a few fish. I will probably bring my spinning rod though because I have no faith in my fly fishin ability. I might have to get out of the boat and stumble around in the creek for a while tryin to catch those rainbows but we'll see how it goes. Hope to see some of ya up there. I am hoping to get up there next week some time. Did you try any shore fishing? I am going to take my tube however will more likely be on the shore with the kids for the most part. I have a 17' Searay and have often thought about going up there one weekend.
