First I'd like to welcome you to the BFT board, we hope you will post your reports of your fishing adventures. My faverite fish for sweet water is the smallmouth bass.Salt water it would be the bluefish. Both give a great fight for their weight.

Funnest fish for me was the big carp on my 6 pound test line . Fought it for a while since I had the drag set light. Didn't want to lose him!

Hey there imegayachtcom,

My funniest fish caught was an Ugui, a Japanese species that is kinda shaped like a trout but... has bulging eyes, a turned-down mouth and makes a continous high pitched grunting noise.

Very cute. So cute you gotta let 'em go cause they give you such a good laugh.

Once in awhile I will catch a Leoparde Shark. Nothing funny about that in particular but one of them that I caught started making loud burping noises. The other people in the area thought it was me.

Well, good question so here I go:
1.Largemouth bass
2.Bluegill (if I am using an ultra-light rig there is nothing funner than catching big bull bluegill[Wink])
3.Channel Catfish

That is my list and I am sticking to it[cool]

I stick with my Sharks.
#2 would have to have to be Bonitos. They put on a good show.

Largemouth bass and catfish--in that order. I love tossing a lot of big lures to hungry, aggressive bucketmouths when they're in the mood to attack just about anything.

And there are few things better than to toss out a big ol' crawler/shrimp combo under a bobber to hungry catfish and watch my 8- and 6-year-old sons wrestle in a several-pound catfish to the boat or shore.

A big trout on a light fly rod is another honorable mention.

3)Channel Cats
4)Walleye
5)Carp

There, my new standard top 5 fish survey reply

I have fun catching anything I can except alligator gar. Imagine the most fun is the ones that will fight the hardest before ya net them if the nets big enough.

As much as I love to catfish, a big carp around 30lb is hard to beat for the fun of reeling a big one in on light or medium tackle. They have some raw power to them. Big flatheads do too but for the size maybe them carp might just give ya one or two more runs.
