I'd have to say a flathead catfish -- just look at how flat it's head is!

So you can't tell us which country it's from? Where did you find the pic?

Hmmm, at first glance it looks like it's part of the Pictus family. But the stiffness of the barbels makes me think otherwise.

[cool][#800000][size 2]This species is not native to this country. However, they are here now and are a big problem. I know of only one state in which they can be found. I was a resident of that state some time ago. That should be somewhat of a clue since I have mentioned that state when making reference to my fishing experiences in other posts.[/size][/#800000]

Extreme caution must be excersised if you were to kiss this fish.[pirate]

Re: [Dryrod] Here is another clue - cat_man - 04-22-2004

Well, based on TubeN2's "hints", and also the fact that I thought before that it looked suspiciously like an eel, I bet it's an Electric eel.

Re: [cat_man] Here is another clue - tubeN2 - 04-23-2004

Hey Catman, there is another species that I know of that is Electric. The one in the picture is not an eel. Eels don't have barbels. [cool]
