Weeb be low - Gone Forever - 10-24-2025

Started at Pineview, wind came up early and I didn't get much fishing in.  Couldn't really get where I wanted to be.
Only ramp open is Anderson.  I had never used that ramp and man, it is not for the timid.  Steep and narrow by comparison to across the way at Cemetery Point.  Fishing was slow for me, like I said, I couldn't fish where I wanted and kept getting blown back to the inlet.
Caught a couple of small perch and gave it up.
It was still before lunch, and I thought about a Star Burger but passed in order to hit the Weber for some more fishing fix.
The Weber is super low, I think the work they are doing on Echo has almost no water coming through and the flow below where Lost Creek comes in, at Croydon is 1/2 of the flow so the fishing is better down stream of there.  You can cross back and forth in waders and fish all along the river.  I caught a couple of small browns, guys too small to have a Redd.
Speaking of Redd's, I could see many in the gravel.  They are very easy to see as the entire riverbed is covered with moss except for where the Big Browns have cleared it off for their Redd.  With yesterday's sunlight they were very easy to see and fun to watch.
After catching a few I thought I may as well drive home over EC and see if there were any spawning Kokes left to see in the creek. there were not.

All in all, a good day off, not doing much and getting home for dinner.

Thanks for the multi-location fishing reports. Have you ever seen the kokes spawning at EC before?

No, I have not but was told by a reliable source that they had been visible at the culvert by the river's edge campground a couple of weeks ago.

That's cool, many many years ago before a drought year, they use to spawn in that river but then the drought year came and that creek dried up and the kokes were all gone in the next few years. In more recent years the DWR started stocking them again, glad to hear they are back spawning in the creek there.
