Ramping up & Wrapping up RockportRockport - perchinski - 09-14-2025

Buddy & I fished from 7-11 this morn.  Air 39, water 64.  Ramp leveling out and had difficulty both dumping off & loading up, so that's our final boat trip there this season.  About 2' deep at the end of the courtesy dock.  Full sun all morning, and just the right amount of ripple to coast down shorelines with big boulders, as that's where the aggressive 12-15" smallies and big perch were jacked on white single-tail 4" grubs. Gonna hit Echo this coming week.
Just wondering if I am the only perch & bass guy on the block, as no one else seems to post related info.

I try to post when I go my son is really into football and baseball so that eats up my fishing time. There are a few of us out here. My last trip to Willard produced some of the biggest small mouths I have got all year

I fished Echo last Thursday. Fished the east side from the docks to the first large point to the south. Picked up 3 bass and a dozen or so perch. Nothing of large size. Never kept any. Haven't decided where to go next, I'm pretty tied up until this coming Friday. Might go back to Strawberry.

I appreciate the reports.  Thank you!  Keep them coming if possible.

I stopped by Rock Cliffs on the way to another destination for about 3 hours on Saturday.  The water is a lot lower and launching a float tube there is getting to be a muddy mess.  It took me a while to find the fish, but I finally did.  Caught about 25 bass during that time, plus a few perch, mostly good size to jumbo.  The quality was a little better than my last trip with one 16 incher, a 14.5 er, and 4-6 12-13 ers.   Yamamoto cut tail worms in watermelon/red flake slayed, like they almost always do there.  Wasn't in a position to keep many but kept 1 11 inch perch that swallowed the hook and fried the fillets at my destination for a nice snack.

Sadly, it will be my last bassin trip till next year due to circumstances out of my control.
