Deer Creek - mdt - 09-04-2025 Went to Deer creek wednesday morning. Trolled pop gear and worm and sling blades and squids. Morning started off slow but got better as we went. The water is thick with green growth. On our way back into the dock we saw a boater paddling his boat so turned around and gave him a tow back. At the cleaning station there were so many hornets that we ended up taking fish home to finish cleaning. My knuckle is still swollen and sore from the one that stung me. Over all a great morning on the water. RE: Deer Creek - Piscophilic - 09-04-2025 Thanks for the report. It sounds look a good outing. How big were the trout you found? RE: Deer Creek - chubby chaser - 09-04-2025 thanks for the report, I have some family in town this weekend and was thinking about heading up there, but not sure if the pea soup sounds appealing. Did it mess with any of your lines or lures? RE: Deer Creek - perchinski - 09-04-2025 (09-04-2025, 05:45 PM)mdt Wrote: Went to Deer creek wednesday morning. RE: Deer Creek - FishfulThinkin - 09-04-2025 I fished DC yesterday with Brookie and as I recall the water temp was about 68 at the surface. We were targeting Walleye but struck out. Lots of healthy bows and a few perch however. Pea soup didn't bother us fishing the bottom at 20-30 feet.
